That means using our talents and experience, coupled with current technology to think creatively while collaborating with our clients and their team to achieve the goals of the project. Those goals often include an economical and efficient design that meets budgets, complex architectural features that make the project unique and exciting, sustainable building practices for both the construction and management of the building, and completing projects on time. Delivering the results is not easy, and it sets Robert Darvas Associates apart from the competition.
There is nothing more exciting for us than designing, especially when it presents a design challenge. In addition to our expertise in the field of structural engineering, our principals have educational and professional backgrounds in architecture, real estate developing and construction. Because of this, we better understand our client’s intent and design with that target in mind.
We understand that design is an iterative process. Getting to the final answer requires studying options, false starts and wrong turns. Our clients rely on us to answer their questions and provide solutions. Our engineers are responsive allowing that process to flow faster and smoother.
Sustainable design driven by LEED is a popular goal for many in the building industry. We support our client’s goals to produce a building that addresses the environmental concerns of today. RDA looks to a broader scope of sustainability than current LEED standards address. In addition to the designing more complex green roof systems and high recycled content concrete mixes that can help achieve LEED points, we believe there are few better ways to support the sustainable initiative than by designing an efficient structural system. Designing with efficiency is a priority and we enjoy the challenge of producing economic designs. We do not sacrifice safety, usability, or quality of the product to achieve efficiency. We have a proven track record of producing efficient designs that save both material and money.
A famous saying is that they do not build them like they used to. We agree; we build them better. By staying on the cutting edge of new technology, material science and construction techniques we build buildings that last longer, look more unique, use less material, perform better, are easier to maintain, are constructed faster, and are safer than their predecessors.
We take pride in our work and it shows in our drawings. We understand drawings need to communicate the design thoroughly to the people responsible for the construction. Accomplishing this is both an art and science. W e put forth the effort to make sure our drawings are graphically easy to read and understand, organized in an effective manner, and contain the information necessary to build the product.
This is an example page. It’s different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:
Hi there! I’m a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my blog. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin’ caught in the rain.)
…or something like this:
The XYZ Doohickey Company was founded in 1971, and has been providing quality doohickeys to the public ever since. Located in Gotham City, XYZ employs over 2,000 people and does all kinds of awesome things for the Gotham community.
